\nShe never made mistakes. Now, he was sure the evil creature had imitated his grandmother\u2019s voice to trap him. His mind was literally paralyzed with fear, and he couldn\u2019t think of a way out.
\n\u201cTahir, Tahir, put on your flip flops. Tahir, Tahir, come out play hopscotch.\u201d
\nIt was finally coming. Tahir pushed himself back and leaned against the wall. Spider webs surrounded his head and face and he didn\u2019t care. It was coming and he was waiting for it helplessly. Tahir\u2019s numb body came to life as he saw a silhouette at the door. He tried 240\u2013Sadik Yemni to push himself even further back and closer to the wall, but that didn\u2019t do anything but hurt his head and back. He started to cry.
\n\u201cTahir, my son, you know who I am. Why are you scared? Why would anyone be scared of his own father?\u201d
\n\u201cYou\u2019re not my f-f-f-father,\u201d he said crying.
\n\u201cCome and look at me carefully, then you\u2019ll see. Come on, I\u2019m waiting.
\nDon\u2019t be afraid, I won\u2019t hurt you.\u201d
\nAll of a sudden Tahir felt a glimmer of hope. For some reason, Satan was hesitant to come in. So his grandmother was right.
\n\u201cWhy don\u2019t you come in?\u201d asked Tahir.
\nBut he immediately regretted saying it. Perhaps Satan was torturing him by making him wait and was going to walk in at anytime and . . .
\n\u201cI don\u2019t like this basement, son. Do you know why?\u201d
\nThe evil thing at the door kept talking, while Tahir didn\u2019t say a word. Its appearance began to alter. It didn\u2019t look like a person looking into the basement anymore, but more like a reptile with a human head.
\n\u201cWhen I was three years old, I did something, Tahir. I don\u2019t remember what it was now, but my father locked me in here for hours. It was cold and dark.\u201d
\nThe devious changes in the creature\u2019s manner messed with Tahir\u2019s mind. He wondered what he should do if it started to move in.
\n\u201cI was so scared and cried with fear. You see, Tahir; there are some really bad fathers. Did I ever mistreat you in this way? Why are you hiding here? What do you mean by this?\u201d
\nTahir knew this was exactly the way his father talked. His father had a way of rounding some of the letters in his words, just like this creature was doing now.

\nHis grandmother had told Tahir the details of the car accident after his father\u2019s death. Tahir started to pity his father. He understoodthings better now.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
